Exciting News…College Dance Scholarships!!

      

Legacy Dance Championships has a strong commitment to dance education and helping high school age dancers pursue dance at the college level. We here at Legacy are excited to announce that we will be partnering with the West Texas A&M University Dance Program to award a $1000 renewable Dance Major Scholarship provided by West Texas A&M University.That means $1,000 per year for 4 years provided you maintain scholarship guideline standards. If you're not from Texas, this scholarship also entitles you to in-state resident tuition, thereby cutting your tuition by more then 50%.  This scholarship will be awarded to the most qualified High School Senior  interested in pursuing a dance career at the college level. 

       

To be eligible for the scholarship, the dancer must:

       

1) Be a contestant at a 2010 Legacy Event

       

2) Meet all West Texas A&M Universityadmission guidelines.

       

3) Complete a 1 or 2 page essay describing why they are interested in pursuing dance at the  college level.Submit essay as a Microsoft Word document and email it to legacyscholarshipessays@yahoo.com

       

4) Maintain a 2.5 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in dance courses while at West Texas A&M University.

       

What the scholarship details:

       

1) Winner of scholarship is automatically accepted into the West Texas A&M University Dance Program and the West Texas A&M University Dance Ensemble, which has   performed throughout the United States , Italy , and Russia since 2004.

       

2) The scholarship will be renewable yearly if the student complies with all standard Texas A&M University and West Texas A&M University Dance Program scholarship guidelines.

       

3) If the winner of the Scholarship is not from the State of Texas , the winner will receive a waiver of out-of-state tuition and will be financially considered an in-state resident.
